Hesitation

2025
2 Fine Art photographic prints on Barita Hanemüle paper, walnut frame with museum glass
20 x 30 cm each
The work consists of two snapshots taken on the street in a big city. The hesitation of the title, the core of the work, lies in the space between the two prints, that represents the moment when the woman, walking down the street near a makeshift dump, grasps an opportunity, spots something that piques her interest. Is it need, longing, or simple curiosity? That same shift in thought, that backward glance, instinctively struck me as I was shooting, forcing me to slightly shift my perspective, as if to make the same movement as the woman, who was also gripped by the same fever: need, longing, or the photographer's curiosity?
