Seven 800 silver teaspoon with engraved words

Installations, 35 x 15 cm

They are seven silver spoons engraved with worlds I wish would survive after the end of the world, as evidence of the human experience on Earth. Words are nourishment and, for once, they don’t come out of the mouth, but they come in, each one accompanied by the world it carries with it. Seven fragments that, recombining in their order, can generate further worlds and possibilities. I have chosen words that belong to different grammatical categories and that pertain to different sensory areas:

I SING (that in Italian can also mean a poem or a song)

FLOCKS: A collective noun that prompts us to raise our eyes to the sky and observe a movement that lasts the beat of an instant.

ULYSSES: a mythical character, symbol of the man who made wandering his way to learn, with the dual meaning of learning by wandering and learning by making mistakes. 

FEET: a concrete noun that brings our gaze back to the earth, to the pace of walking, to the slow movement of wandering, to searching.

HUNGER

With the name MARCH, I wanted to allude to spring without being literal, to its buds, to its cyclical nature, to its eternal return.
